So many things to do when I'm dead.

I'd never heard or seen him speak previous. A mesmerizing man. Imagine spending time with him in his West Village diggs. Imagine greater NYC if you could have experienced him guiding you through it.

I am currently reading, "Notes from a Native Son" by James Baldwin

a fierce piercing series of essays that relate an experience, a reality that is foreign to me ...

and yet it is my story

Baldwin calls the American white-black relationship a marriage

this is the raw searing black american experience during the civil rights movement

at times the book is overwhelming
