Last week Smashley and I drove to a state park located about half an hour from downtown Houston. We talked to only two people besides each other, not including the park ranger who gave us a map and chided us for our choice of shoes.
This was taken at the end of that day. We were disgusting and sweaty and too hot to finish the last two minutes walk back to the car. An equally tired family showed up where we were and tried not to look our way. Except for one small girl, ten perhaps, who immediately walked up to our table and began conversation with us. I asked her to take our photo right before she left.
I forgot how this photo had been made until yesterday when we were driving back from the same park again.
