Today is Ashley's birthday.

She's older than she's ever been.

And it's as if she's crossed over a border. The one where, suddenly, you step across the line and, although you're older numerically, you hold the bad things less and the good things harder. It's amazing how that happens. You get older and then you start getting younger.

We watched this in a museum today. It made me very happy. Overall, a wonderful, wonderful day.

Things were simple when we were younger, and when we're getting older the only simple thing seems to be in our past... Happy birthday, Ashley. :)

That's probably the general consensus, but I feel exactly the opposite. The only thing that gets more complicated is my past.

Happy Birthday, Ashley. Hold the bad things less and the good things harder. That's some of the best advice I've heard.

Happy birthday to someone I would like to share cake with.

You express so it so well, so simply.
I didn't notice the line, but in time I came realise that everything was better and wondered why, but accepted it. Now I embrace it.

Happy birthday, Ashley. Good things to you (both).

Happy belated birthday!

Agree, my past is also looking more and more like a problem!
